If you mix characters in multiple languages in one line of textarea editing becomes difficult. some time a non existing space appears on dispaly, trying to delete that space, delete the character before that. When you do selection that space appears to be skip the selection see language_mix.png in the selection you see an unselected space between "engldsdsd" and "INDIA", this is the noexistant space. Steps:- 1. open language_mix.html 2. keep your cursor on english letters. 3. type few charcters 4. delete them 5. press enter 6. remove space between english and indian charaters 7. enter line break between english and indian charaters 8. do it on every "english" text. I use AnjaliOldLipi font for Malayalam, and for hindi default Mangal font.

This sounds similar to bug 332576

It happens when you have numbers or special characters with English alphabets also.
