I'd forgotten about AUS when the Firefox trunk version changed to 3.0a2pre, and the Firefox & Thunderbird version on Mozilla1.8.0 to 1.5.0.10pre, so nightly updates are not being offered to those apps. Patch coming up.

This should give us two full app versions in hand for each of the three active branches (including the pre variations).

It would be great to have this fixed before the Christmas break, so I'm upping severity to critical.
Severity: major → critical
It looks like a bit of wildcard support on the server side would prevent similar mishaps from happening in the future...
Something like...
'1.5.0*' => '1.5.0.x',

Since this broke nightly updates on the trunk, I presume it's substantially reducing the amount of trunk testing we're getting. Frankly, that's almost grounds for closing the tree given that many of our nightly testers rely on AUS to get the latest builds.

BTW - the patch had missing commas, but I fixed that before checking in. This is checked in and tagged.

I agree - I filed an AUS bug about this in bug 364628. Will take a look in January.
