On www.excite.com, I have my "refresh" setting on the site to 5 minutes. (this is a setting you configure when you sign up for an account at excite.com) This causes www.excite.com to be refreshed every 5 minutes, I assume through some meta-refresh tag or HTTP header. Whenever I visit www.excite.com, and then start browsing other sites, www.excite.com just decides to load itself after 5 minutes, no matter what page I'm viewing. this is VERY frustrating, and renders that browser window basically unusable. My guess is some timer is sticking around longer than it should.
