This option should be allowed not only when the bug is initially reported but also later. A display of the bug report should indicate if the reporter has disabled E-mail so that those who need to contact the reporter will realize that they can't do it via an update to the bug. I reported bug #210251, which has accumulated 87 comments plus 67 entries in its Activity Log. Since this bug now has a valid plan for correction, it's no longer necessary for me to receive a message for every change to it. (It's already on a list of bugs that I monitor regularly.) As the reporter, I can't find a way to stop messages without stopping messages for other bugs that I have reported. Reproducible: Always
