User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; sv-SE; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; sv-SE; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Drop down menus are transparent. It makes it difficult to read as underlying text shows through. It happened in earlier versions of Firefox to, but I can't give you version numbers. It seems it has to do with the type of drop down menus. At www.skandia.se there is the problem but at http://www.skiinfo.fr/index.jsp/lse it looks different and they have a grey nontransparent back-ground Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to the sites mention above 2.Click on the word or arrow to get a drop down menu 3. Actual Results: It happens everytime on the site www.skandia.se Given a drop down menu with white non-transparent background

Hmm, any extensions? Are you using the default theme? I looked at skandia.se (FF2.0 and SeaMonkey 1.1 on Mac), but I don't get those black borders. Neither are drop-down menus transparent.
No, not at first. I had the problem in Firefox 1.5... and now in the latest version, 2.0.0.1, too! Now I have extension but they are added after this report. I add one more image on how it looks on an other site where that type of drop down menu isn't transparent. there are other graphical issues in Firefox for Mac but they are not as importen for smooth function.

non transparent menu, grey and dull but working
(In reply to comment #3) In Safari the drop down menus are not transparent on the same site. I need to use Firefox, because of security reasons, on this site.
This looks like a duplicate of Bug 348637.
(In reply to comment #6) > This looks like a duplicate of Bug 348637. > You're right, thanks. Rose, the checkbox (this is in Swedish) "Låt sidor använda egna färger, ..." in "Inställningar" --> "Innehåll" (click on "Färger") is most certainly unchecked. If you select it the problem should go away.
