Dragging internet addresses from location bar to desktop creates duplicated shortcuts (on the desktop), automatically appending numbering to the name of the internet shortcut.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Type any internet address on the location bar (i.e. http://www.mozilla.org/)
2. Mouse-drag the fav icon on the location bar in direction to any available desktop area (usually at the bottom of the screen, near the dock).
3. Two duplicated internet address shortucts appear on the desktop with names "Mozilla.org - Home of the Mozilla Project" and "Mozilla.org - Home of the Mozilla Project 1".

Assuming you're on 10.3, this is bug 223315.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → RESOLVED
Closed: 18 years ago
Resolution: --- → DUPLICATE
If you're on 10.4, it's bug 347212, which Apple regressed at some point in 10.4.
