when asked to restore session, browser opened without prompting for a username or password, although that info was a remembered password.

Expected Results: promt for password before continueing to restored session
So you crashed? Because that's the only time when you get the prompt for restoring your session.
Which username and password? For a website's basic auth?
yes the browser did hang up and crash' I was taking an online class and listening to the course material. when I restored it went directly to the page it had crashed on without prompting for a password the website was my company's own site, http://ingersollrand.vls01.com/default.asp
