Details

After attaching a file from the compose window, opening it using either of the two behaviors described in bug 239658 comment 0 works, but causes the following error in the JavaScript console: Error: [Exception... "'Component does not have requested interface' when calling method: [nsIInterfaceRequestor::getInterface]" nsresult: "0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://messenger/content/messengercompose/MsgComposeCommands.js :: OpenSelectedAttachment :: line 2853" data: no] Source File: chrome://messenger/content/messengercompose/MsgComposeCommands.js Line: 2853 This has been tested with Thunderbird 2.0.0.0 and 1.5.0.10, both on Windows 2000 (the error message was copied from TB 2.0).
Same message as one in Bug 182121 Comment #28. DUPing to Bug 182121 is appropriate, I think.
No, it is not, as this was spun off from bug 182121 (see bug 182121 comment #29)

Sorry for not updating this bug sooner, but the errors no longer appear when using a 3.0 build (as confirmed in comment 3).
