Since this is a menupopup with menuitems it's now styled as a standard menupopup, which just looks plain wrong.

Yeah, and bug 380641. Not the same style rules, though - this bug covers the menupopup/menuitem styling ;) Shouldn't be difficult to fix once the autocomplete thing is settled.

Bug 380641 was fixed a long time ago;
bug 379192 was fixed a couple of days ago :-)

This was fixed by the patch in bug 460699.
