Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.9a8pre) Gecko/2007080704 Minefield/3.0a8pre
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.9a8pre) Gecko/2007080704 Minefield/3.0a8pre

clicking on any menu item from the menu bar (Minefield, File, Edit, etc.) while playing a youtube video will cause the video to stop playing after a short delay. Giving focus back to the browser window will allow video to continue playing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Play a (any) video from youtube.com
2.Wait for video to start playing
3.While the video is playing, select any menu item from the menubar.
Actual Results:
Video will stop playing after a short (3-5 sec) delay.

Expected Results:
Video should have continued to play normally.

Clean build, new profile, no extensions running. MacOSX ver. 10.4.10, Intel
Confirmed, I see this as well on today's build. This does not happen with 2.0.0.6.

The Youtube video player stops playback when the application loses focus. I'm not sure how the Flash determines whether the application has lost focus or not, but this sounds like a Mac specific problem, likely related to the cocoa widgets rewrite. Clicking a menu item should not be considered "losing focus". Which versions of the Flash player are you guys testing with?

No, this is related the the ThreadMangager rewrite in spring 2006.
