I can't crash it.

local folder and imap folder name abc% abc*, including after restart
version 2.0.0.13pre (20080227)
version 3.0a2pre (2008052603)
sp3000, have you encountered anything similar on #thunderbird?

Wayne didn't you get strange numbers instead folder names after name with these special symbols? I did't tried these yet but # symbol apparently does so (already have bug for it).
