Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7
After installing the Firefox 2.0.0.7 update. All of my themes and extensions consistanly state that "This addon/theme will be installed once firefox is rest". I have rest my firefox on multiple accounts. When I bring firefox back up the extensions have not been installed, they still give the "This addon/theme will be installed once firefox is rest" message.
They won't even uninstall, I have tried that but they won't leave. It's like firefox is never truly shutting down. I have even restarted my entire computer, but to no avail.
In an attempt to fix this I have followed "https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=316808" But that did not fix the problem either.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.The only thing I did was install Firefox build 2.0.0.7
Actual Results:
Same thing.
Expected Results:
Something to install.

Can you please attach copies of your extensions.ini, extensions.rdf and
extensions.cache to this bug report. They can be found in your profile folder:

Can you also type about:config into the address bar. Then in the list look for extensions.logging.enabled and javascript.options.showInConsole. If they aren't already set to true double click them to make them true.
Then completely quit Firefox and start it again. Open the error console (on the tools menu) and copy into here anything that has shown up.
Okay, I've uploaded the extension files and here is the result of the "about:config":
ExtensionManager:_finishOperations - failure, catching exception - lineno: 3678 - file: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js - TypeError: oldLocation has no properties
I realize that this is probably solvable with a reinstall. But that annoys me because I spent time getting certain scripts for greasemonkey and the like, and to have an update to the browser destroy my extensions like how it has, doesn't sit well with me.
Thats why I am really hoping for a solution that doesn't result in an reinstall.
Another message in the Error Console:
"No chrome package registered for chrome://chatzilla/content/output-base.css ."

Ok if you delete the files extensions.rdf, extensions.ini and extensions.cache from your profile folder while firefox is closed it ought to resolve the problem for you.
Can you tell me when you installed the Backgroundimage Saver extension, was it just before you had the problem at all?

Actually before you do that, could you look in about:config again and tell me the value of extensions.lastAppVersion
Let me know if you only noticed to do that after you had removed those files.

The Value of the extensions.lastAppVersion is 2.0.0.7
I had installed the Background Image Saver before the problems, however Im not sure if it ever installed properly.
And no, I have not yet removed the extension files, do you still wish me to?

I've dropped you an email with just one additional thing that might provide useful information to us, if you could let me know the results that'd be great.

Well, those files did the trick. Everything is working again and there are no new messages. Thank you.
