Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/419.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/419.3 Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.6 (20070728) It would be useful to be able 1- to detach/delete/download from the list of message, perhaps by clicking on the attachement icon (the paperclip) 2- after selecting some messages, or all the messages, have the same menu It could be useful mainly for archiving purposes (for example to reduce the size of the mailbox). Maybe unifying such option will be necessary, I recommend that a submenu "attachement" is created, and shared for the normal message view (in the bottom line containing the attachements) and in the message list view. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
File -> Attachments seems to be where the Detach stuff is in the menus, but looks like it's disabled when multiple messages are selected.
On my version it is also disabled for all messages with attachement... But perhaps it comes from my version. Anyway, it would be useful to unify this menu for the message view, the file menu and the menu list.
From comment 0, I think we should avoid (1) as it's already addressed by the File -> Attachments menu. As for (2), that's bug 92146. Any objections to marking this as a dupe of bug 92146?
