User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.8) Gecko/20071022 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.8
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.8) Gecko/20071022 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.8
When viewing youtube.com with Adobe Flash 9.0.48.0.2, Firefox 2.0.0.8 on Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon sometimes hangs or crashes when the user closes a tab, attempts to exit the browser, or attempts to navigate to another page.
Please fix these hangs and crashes by creating a plugin framework that isolates the plugins from the browser so that if a plugin crashes, it doesn't take down the whole browser.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://youtube.com
2. Watch some videos
3. During or after a video try to exit the browser, click on a link to another video, or close the tab the video is running in.
4. Repeat step 3. Usually after watching two or three videos, the browser will lock up.
Actual Results:
The application hangs and I have to click the 'force quit' button or use `kill` on the command line. Rarely, firefox crashes completely.
Expected Results:
No hanging and no crashes.
Ubuntu Package Versions:
- firefox 2.0.0.8+2nobinonly-0ubuntu1
- flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.48.0.2+really0ubuntu12
