User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.8) Gecko/20071008 Firefox/2.0.0.8 Build Identifier: version 1.5.0.14pre (20071023) Hi... I would like to be able to select (and copy, and paste) the "standard" headers that I can view in the message display window. The goal is being able to copy and paste the entire message (my "selected" headers + body) in an external ticketing application, but currently I can only: Option a: select+copy+paste the body (I can't select the displayed headers with the mouse). Option b: Switch to "View all headers" and copy all the headers. I don't like this because I just only want to copy Subject, From, To and Date (the headers that display in the message display window). Thanks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a message. 2. Try to select headers with the mouse. 3. :( Actual Results: Headers are not selectable. Expected Results: I would like the headers to be selected in the same way that body is.
Thunderbird version 3.0a1pre (2008040103) BuildID=2008040103 Freespire 2.0 / Ubuntu 7.04 Headers are not selectable in the Message Pane, but when the email is forwarded all the content (headers and body) can be copied and pasted. Appears the technical issue is in the Message Pane the headers are in a different frame than the body content, so must be handled differently. Solution is available through forwarding the message then copying and pasting...
Is it intended functionality? Potential UI issue -> cc'ing Bryan.
seems like a bug, but this issue has been taken into account in bug 449691 ( new message reader )
Following comment #3 Although I can't copy paste the required info. I also think that this is a great opportunity for an extension. Hence my duping.
