I'm using Safari Version 3.0.4 (523.12)
Note, on quit, if I am in this state, I get:
"There are 5 tabs open in Safari. You have entered text on “Enter Bug: Firefox” and one other displayed page. If you quit Safari, your changes will be lost. Do you want to quit anyway?"

Note that this is a duplicate of bug 252646 (which itself is actually probably a duplicate of bug 48333).

Even better than warning the user would be to let the user get the text back after closing. I know we don't do this for bugzilla due to the https connection, but do we save form field data with session restore?

We don't do it for bugzilla unless you set browser.sessionstore.privacy_level to 0. Not that it helps Joe User, but it amuses me that I closed this tab and then used undo close tab three times while typing this.
