Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12pre) Gecko/2008010303 Thunderbird/2.0.0.12pre
Lightning 0.7 event dialog broken in recent Thunderbird 2.0.0.12pre builds
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Thunderbird 2.0.0.12pre nightly build
2. Install Lightning 0.7 (2007102304) release build
3. Create new event via File -> New -> Calendar
Actual Results:
Several minimonths are display as active and can't be closed by clicking on them. It's not possible to type e.g. in the title or location fields meanwhile.
Expected Results:
Should work as with Thunderbird 2.0.0.9.
If Thunderbird is automatically upgraded from 2.0.0.9 to 2.0.0.12 many Lightning users will be affected by this.
Either a Lightning fix or update will be required or the corresponding toolkit checkin needs to be identified and checked if it is maybe faultily.

I also noticed that when I launch TB, a calendar of the present month is directly shown, alone, on top left of the desktop, then after a few seconds, TB comes in front, and this calender disappear.
This behavior came at the same moment as the bug described here.

Confirmed regression range:
Works in Thunderbird 2.0.0.12pre (2007122604) + Lightning 0.7 (2007102304)
Fails in Thunderbird 2.0.0.12pre (2007122703) + Lightning 0.7 (2007102304)
Checkins during regression range: http://tinyurl.com/24w8rq
Possible causers: Bug 397427, Bug 398006 checked in by bzbarsky
Workaround: Press [Tab] key once to make the popup dialog disappears. Afterwards the dialog seems to be working correctly.
Note: Lightning 0.8pre doesn't show the issue. Does anyone knows when the Thunderbird 2.0.0.12 release is planned? If Lightning 0.8 is released before everything might be ok.

From http://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases: possibly mid/late Feb

Since this is something that is fixed in 0.8pre and we will be releasing in february, this is not something that blocks 0.8, nor do we really need to take care of it now. I think its ok to live with this error for a month, since the obvious alternative is to try a nightly.
I propose removing the blocking status.

As already discussed on status call from 2008-01-09 => removing blocking.

This should be fixed by backing out bug 398006. Please verify?

Works for me again using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12pre) Gecko/2008011803 Thunderbird/2.0.0.12pre with Lightning 0.7 (2007102304).

I am now using thunderbird 2.0.0.12 and 0.7 release didn't recognize my existing calendars, and when I try to add a new calendar it just hangs at the final step. I then tried 0.8rc1 and it also will not recognize my old calendars, but in this version new calendar is greyed out completely, same for the nightly builds since rc1.
there are already bugs filed about not being able to create new calendars.
