On os x we can right clik a file and compress it and send it email.
But we can't pick thunderbird from the list...No thunderbird...
How bout making it work for us.
Thunderbird seem to be the best email application except for this.

Well I see nowhere in my menus the ability to send (This does exist on windows but AFAIK not on mac).

With Snow Leopard (10.6) I believe the "Send To..." option is gone. I think yo configured that as a "More..." Folder Action in the past.

Currently you can click a file in the Finder though and go to "Finder->Services->Messaging->New Email With Attachment" though and that will send via the Mail.app. Not sure if Thunderbird can hook into that or if that is the same as the old "Send To..." portions or not.

For reference in my Mail.app preferences Thunderbird 3.0b4pre is set as my Default mail client. So MAC OSX knows about Thunderbird being a mail client, but doesn't know how to hook in the "Services..." menu.

I personally have never used this functionality, but it might be a nice feature if someone has the time to make it work.
