This is the bug to track the landing of the Classic skin into the mozilla tree. The scope of this bug includes icons that look like the Netscape 4.x products, and grey toolbars with rectangular buttons.

We don't + tracking bug....but if you add any dependency bug to this, we will put in [nsbeta2+] for those.

Intersects with, but not quite a dup of, Stage 1 (and possibly Stage 2) of bug 39375. Bug 39375 has dependencies for native-looking widgets (as used in the Classic skin) on each platform, with some notes on how to implement them. If, as (IIRC) Ben suggested in n.p.m.ui, the Classic skin will be the default skin for Mozilla (for non-commercial distributions, anyway), then fixing this bug would also largely fix bug 29103 and bug 29105.

PDT: this is THE skin bug for nsbeta2. This is the landing of the Classic Skin. This should be +. My use of the word "track" was not to imply a tracking bug. I closed a number of other bugs that this is meant to replace. Removing - to give you a chance to reconsider the landing of the classic skin as a beta2 requirement.

Feature checked in and working. There may be bugs with specific areas of the product, and those should be filed separately. This bug can be verified by running the installer on each platform and verifying that the skin can be changed to Classic with the Themes page of the Preferences panel.
