The progressive disclosure controls should be created using images instead of buttons so that we can style them.

To clarify: For a11y reasons we still want to use buttons, just not let the OS style them as such natively.
BTW: Alex, have you asked Aaron for a quick a11y review of your design? He might note further stuff I don't (especially WRT sec508 compliance).

He has looked over previous iterations of this design a very long time ago, but I'll forward him the most recent iteration to make sure we aren't missing anything.

I'm going to set this as invalid for now since I'm concerned about visual integration with different OS themes.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".
In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.
Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
