Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2008013104 Minefield/3.0b3pre After the landing of the new ui for the bookmarks pane by Mano's patch I'm not able to see this one when using Cmd+D to bookmark an URI. If I use the mouse I can only see it once. Any further opening of the bookmarks panel shows the old one. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a fresh profile 2. Click on the star and "edit" 3. The new bookmarks panel is shown 4. Close the pane and click again on the star or hit Cmd+D I expect to see the new bookmarks pane again but the old one is shown. If you click on the star in step 4 you will see the new pane for a sec or less and it's getting swapped with the old one. From this time you won't be able to see the new pane again. Every time the old pane is shown. Only tested on OS X at the moment.

I think this is a duplicate of Bug 395813.
Not really. Now that bug 395813 is fixed I still see the short flicker while doing the first two steps. Instead of showing the new (library) panel permanent until I close it, it switches the normal bookmark pane immediately.
I don't get what all this "new" about... we didn't add fields or anything, nor we intend to. There should be just three fields there: name, folder and tags.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
