There is currently no management of What's Related data and therefore no added
value of making this double click. Also, the general rule for My Sidebar is to
have single-click (and a UI that indicates single-click, just like Search)
unless there is a reason to make it double-click (Mail and Bookmarks).
So, please make What's Related single-click and use a UI style like the Search
tab (as you mouse over, the link is underlined indicating a single click).

Does this bug mean that I should be able to launch url's from 'What's Related'
tab in the Sidebar with just one click ? If it is so..I do not see it working
(like 'Search')

reopening, I have to double click to open links from What's Related. Am using
today's 10/26 branch build on windows. keyword: rtm
rtm-. I wouldn't stop ship for this. Any diagreements? AFAIK, when we were
using the previous "new" what's related content from you-know-who, the content
was actually a web page, not a list like AIM buddies or Bookmarks. That's why
it was single click. Now it's reverted to the PR2 inplementation it's a list
again. Am I wrong about the history here?

Yes done. Reverting to double click was what pr2 was.
I tried add the single click into it but it was giving me
problems. IE the seperators where not showing up. So the desicion
was to make it double click rather then have no seperators.
But then again marketing and PDT make interestings decisions sometimes
times. So would be rather be double click or have no seperators?

Please use single-click. I thought the sidebar was broken. It never dawned on
me to double-click until I read this bug report. This behaviour is completely
non-intuitive. The sidebar items (particularly bookmarks, search and what's
related) should act as URL links. You can work on making it pretty later. I'd
rather have function than form. I'm using my remaining votes on this one.

Don, that's correct except that What's Related did, indeed, used to function on
single-click. The items used to look like links (blue, underlined) when you
hovered over them.

The mozilla what's related tab uses single-clicks. Opened bugscape 11340 to
track this issue in the netscape what's related code (which unfortunately is
different than mozilla's what's related codebase).
