Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b4pre) Gecko/2008022404 Minefield/3.0b4pre ID:2008022404 If you clear the text within the location bar under OS X the background turns white except the left part near the favicon. If we are on a HTTPS site the whole location bar should stay with yellow background.

I think it's fine for it to change to white. The rounded bit on the left just needs to change too.
As I see now while testing with Firefox 2 these is a regression. The location bar should stay yellow after removing its content. Further it should indicate that we are still on a secure website.
Keywords: regression
The location bar no longer indicates where you are once you start editing it, so it makes sense for it to be white instead of yellow.
Ok, so removing regression keyword for now.
