I'm using Mac OS 10.4.11(intel) / Firefox 3 beta 3 / US Type Keyboard.
In Japanese IME "Kotoeri" of the Mac OS standard, Control+Shift+J, K, L, ; and ' is used to switch the input mode ("Kotoeri" , "Hiragana", "Katakana" , "Full-width Roman" , "Half-width Katakana", "Romaji") respectively.
However, the character input mode that uses those keys cannot be switched with Firefox 3
Beta.
It operates though there is a method of switching the normal-width alphabet mode to the Chinese character mode by Command + Space.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
(It is necessary to install a Japanese component beforehand.)
1.Open Apple Menu>System Preference>International>Input Menu
2.Check "Kotoeri" , "Hiragana", "Katakana", "Full-width Roman" , "Half-width Katakana", "Romaji"
4.Check "Show input menu in menu bar"
5.Close Preference
3.Open Firefox 3 beta
5.Click the text box in the Google search box etc. and it puts it into the state that the character can be input.
6.Open input menu in menu bar.
7.Select "Hiragana"
8.Please push the Control + Shift + K or L or ; or '
