note: we are planning on moving to MSI based installer.
I don't see why bug 799844 should be a dupe here. It should better be the other way around given that the other bug exists longer and already has some information.
Because the information in bug 799844 was already understood by those that would have to do the work so it is just noise and this bug actually has existed longer.
