Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b5pre) Gecko/2008032605 Minefield/3.0b5pre Build Identifier: Lightning 0.8RC2 in MoreLayoutsforThunderbird, F11 is used for Fullscreen mode. if it were any other button and any other function, i would be changing the key to avoid conflict with Lightning. however, F11 should be used across moz products for Fullscreen. so perhaps Lightning could use F12 (or other) to toggle the Today Pane. Reproducible: Always

I'm going to confirm this bug. Maybe this can be discussed together with Bug 477091?

I think this is more of a Lightning question, no? They'll have to weigh the disadvantages of changing a keybinding with the advantages of being consistent with the rest of the platform. I will say that our users seem to dislike change, so perhaps they could add an option (on-by-default) to make F11 the Today pane key⦠;)

Please note: I'm now using version 102.7.0
View > Today Pane > Show Today Pane F11
This instructs people to use F11
when you view Article regarding Today Pane:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/lightning-user-interface#w_today-pane
It also states to use F11 as the quick keyboard shortcut.
Whe you view the thunderbird shortcuts article:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-thunderbird#w_calendar
It also states to use F11 to open the Today Pane.
F11 is used to go to Full Screen.
This bug has some longevity and the incorrect advice is propagated throughout Thunderbird and all the necessary help articles.
What is the correct setting to use?
Can it be corrected in the Menu's?
I'm willing to update Help Articles if I can be told the correct shortcut key.
