User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; nl; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.12 (20080213) In Outlook Express I (mis)used Insert Signature to insert standard pieces of text. Like our Delivery Terms, a formal or informal signature in different languages, a standard answer from a FAQ list etc. In Thunderbird I really miss this option. I know I can get one automatic signature, but that does not cover it for me. For this purpose maybe it is best to call the Menu item: Predefined Content or something like that. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Could you try to see if it still happens with http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-comm-1.9.1/ ? In the new beta now you can insert a text signature as you want. I think your bug is a dupe of bug #324495. Feel free to reopen it if I'm wrong.

If you are talking about something else than just entering the signature directly and want to include predefined text while composing, look into the Clippings extension at http://clippings.mozdev.org/ for this functionality.
