Sometimes clicking on url that links to pdf, a blank page is shown.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on url that links to pdf document (like this http://www.fiscooggi.it/reader/?LO=01000000d9c8b7a6040000000a000000ca5e0000fb22d941000000000100360800000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000&type=application/pdf)

Actual Results:
a blank page is shown. Tab title is (object application/pdf) and status bar shows the word "Completed"
Other url in the same page can work correctly, so this issue is reproducible sometimes.

Expected Results:
PDF document should be open.

Adobe reader 8.1.2.

This problem happens also with other pages
Cannot reproduce this on Vista with the RC1: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0

Now, it works also for me.
But this problem happens randomly and I'll post again if I found new pages with this issue.
Sometimes restart of Firefox can fix it!
Probably, this issue is related with cache. Problem is always fixed clearing browser cache when it happens (using clear personal data function).

Update about steps to reproduce this issue:
1. click on several links to pdf document (in my tests open 4 or 5 document is enough to reproduce it)
2. blank page is displayed as described in this report
3. close the blank tab
4. clear personal data with only cache option enabled (other option don't seem related to this)
5. retry to click on the link: now the page should be shown correctly

I attach to this report the output of about:cache when the problem happened.

Unfortunately, in my tests it's always reproducible following the instructions of comment #6. And clearing the cache, the problem is always fixed.
Do you need more information?
Do you have Skype Extension for Firefox? It can cause problems with direct PDF linking, uninstall or disable it.
I haven't any extension installed. Thanks.

Unconfirmed bugs don't get blocking. This needs to get confirmed first.

Reproducing this bug is very easy on my Pc. I don't know because nobody can confirm it.
It happens also in FF 3.0.1

Unfortunately, Acrobat 9.0.0 seems to have the same issue
Version: unspecified → 3.0 Branch
Tested once more with Adobe 9, and both current builds:
 * Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1b1pre) Gecko/20080903034741 Minefield/3.1b1pre
 * Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3pre) Gecko/2008090306 GranParadiso/3.0.3pre

I do not see the issue. Both times tested on new profiles, with nothing in the cache. Have you determined if you have an extension that is causing the problem? Have you attempted this in safe mode?

Should this be considered WFM?
The latest version I have tested is Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; it; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1.
Note that this bug is reproducible only if the default action for Adobe Acrobat Document is set to "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox". The other setting (use Adobe Reader 9.0) hasn't this problem.
That was the way my installation was set up. Still can't reproduce.

Did you try running this in a new profile?
Latest 3.0.2 build with new profile works fine.
Thanks
