In comparison FF2 performed the same operation in about 5 seconds, with only a few hard drive access. Issue was reported in bug 434917 but not in a very constructive way, that why I open a new bug. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Import html bookmark file, or move / delete a folder with many bookmarks inside 2. 3. Actual Results: operation ends after about 1 minute instead of few seconds in FF2 Expected Results: operation ends in few seconds with limited hard drive accesses Used computer is a Core 2 Duo 2GHz + 1GB RAM. How large are these files? How many bookmarks are you talking about? Would you be willing to post your palces.sqlite file for inspection by a developer?
