User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008052308 Minefield/3.0pre Build Identifier: I think it's useful if alpha, beta and release candidates will have javascript.options.showInConsole set to True by default. Reproducible: Always
Disagree for release candidates as they are intended to be released without change if they pass QA. Disagree with alphas and betas. If testers don't know how to turn on this pref, they shouldn't be testing these nightlies either.
Product: Core → Firefox
QA Contact: error-console → error.console
Version: unspecified → Trunk
The problem is if you want to test a bug with Fx default settings, because you reset them with Safe Mode or you create a blank profile, you must remember to set this pref every time. And that's not very famous as pref... Furthermore, any help could be good, even if it's done by a 'newbie'. On the contrary that will reduce instructions to get at 'newbies'. For RC, they are tested by more 'newbies' that alpha and beta releases, so it's more logic turn this pref on by default for those releases.
