Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 I clicked on a link in a message in Thunderbird 2.0 and it did not open FF3 (official release). When I exited TB clicking on FF3 shortcut would not launch FF3 (the hourglass pointer appeared but it then died). Rebooting cleared the problem. I found the same behaviour with Microsoft Outlook 2003. There is no problem however if FF3 is already open but minimised. It may be relevant that I have two profiles and choose manually. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Close ff3 2.Open mail message with link in it 3.Click on link Actual Results: Nothing happens. Firefox will not now launch by clicking on the shortcut. Expected Results: FF3 opens with web page targeted.
This appears to be a duplicate of 385230. The operating system above is Windows XP. Note that Firefox 3 in Ubuntu 8.4 does NOT show this behaviour.
