User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; KDDI-TS3E) Opera 8.60 [ja]
Build Identifier: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; KDDI-TS3E) Opera 8.60 [ja]
My Windows XP (SP3) has the following regional options:
Default Encoding: Hebrew
Location: Japan
(Standards and formats: Japanese)
And I tried to installed Firefox in Simplified Chinese.
I did manage to install it properly by guessing the location of the 'next' button, and it works great now.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download Firefox 3
2.Try to install it over Firefox 2
Actual Results:
All the Chinese text in the installer appears as complete gibberish, with letterlike symbols and Hebrew letters
Expected Results:
Use UTF-16 as the code page for the installer and avoid all such problems.
