User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 upon starting firefox, my master password window opens. i input the master password and hit enter. the typed master password goes away leaving the prompt window open and blank. i have found that if i just hit enter a second time, the prompt window goes away and firefox opens normally. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: you should only have to enter your master password once and hit enter once. i was unsure of the problem at first; i thought i had a typing monitor program working on my pc getting my passwords.
Maybe there were two master password prompts. If you move the first one, where does the second one appear? Why does the master password prompt appear when you start Firefox? Does your home page contain a password field?
This is a common misdiagnosis of bug 356097 (and related variants).
