Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052912 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: version 3.0a1 (2008050714) Clicking on Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Certificates->View Certificates->Add Exception, then typing in imaps://ip.addr.of.imaps_server, just yields 'Checking Information', followed by 'Attempting to identify the site...' which never seems to return. However, the site when connecting to it with imaps connects immediately. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create an IMAP account with SSL connection (993) 2. IMAP server must have an expired, self-signed certificate 3. Follow steps above in 'Details' Actual Results: Updates status to 'Attempting to identify the site...', but doesn't proceed any further. Expected Results: I expected it to get the certificate from the SSL IMAP server, in order to add it to my certificate exceptions list. However, it didn't seem to allow me to get it.
Actually, you need to use https:// to get the cert. Logical isn't it? ;)
