Using either Places or the bookmarks sidebar, I can't delete folders containing live bookmarks. It will either have no effect or Firefox will freeze for a few seconds. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a folder containing a dozen of RSS feeds. 2. Try to delete this folder by whatever mean (i.e. open Places or directly) 3. Deleting single live bookmark generally works. Actual Results: The folders are not deleted (no effect) and it will sometimes cause Firefox to freeze. Expected Results: The folder should be deleted immediately. I am using firefox 3 with a new profile and the default theme. I am only using 4 extensions (Adblock Plus, Gmail manager, Smoothwheel, Stylish).

I have tried after desactivating the 4 above-mentionned extensions and the problem is still there.

More infos. I just realize that I can't suppress all live bookmarks that have "about:livemark-failed" and "about:livemark-loading" as adresses. I do realize that this live bookmarks have become obsolete but Firefox won't let me suppress them. It's not even hanging when I try to do that, it's just that there is no reaction to my "suppression" action, just like if I hadn't done anything.

"about:livemark-failed" and "about:livemark-loading" are gone with bug 407468

all dependancies are fixed so this should not be reproducible anymore on trunk/1.9.1

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
