Overview Description/Step to Reproduce: The View menu contains an option to turn "My Sidebar" on or off with a toggle checkmark next to the menu item "Sidebar". However, in the GUI, the sidebar is referred to as "My Sidebar". Expected Result: For better consistency and to reinforce what the user is toggling on or off in the View menu, change "Sidebar" in the menu to "My Sidebar". Reproducibility/Build Date/Platform Bug Found: Reproducible in Netscape 6 PR1 on the Windows platform as well as in a later build (6/20) build on Solaris. Additional Information: A GIF file will be attached. The bug is filed based on a HCI evaluation from the Sun internal HCI group. A detailed evaluation documentation on other HCI issues can be provided upon request.

[Asa, if you want me to field it, you should at least CC me on it. :-) I found this bug completely by accident ...] Margaret, of the eleven bugs you have reported, five of them (so far) have been marked as duplicates of earlier bugs. While it's great that the Sun HCI team is helping out with improving the UI, when you report a bug it would be useful if you could (1) check that the bug still exists on a nightly build which is less than a week old, and (2) search Bugzilla for open bugs in the relevant component(s) to see if the bug has already been reported. Thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 35057 ***

hmm, how'd I miss that. I think the free Ben&Jerry's icecream got me loopy or something. :) Verified Duplicate of bug 35057 "[RFE] Use "My Sidebar" consistently throughout browser"
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
Hi mpt: As a matter of fact, I have only filed 9 bugs ever since I started working on Mozilla. I guess your query probably includes the 2 of which I am the owner. Anyway, I did tried doing both (i.e., check the nightlies and check the open bugs) before I filed the 7 HCI bugs. Unfortunately, I had some bad luck using some of the newer nightlies. One did not come up for me, and one gave me trouble in the Preference Menu, so I gave up and used an older build (6/20) which I had built. And actually there were more issues raised by our HCI which I had skipped because I could not reproduce them anymore or the design was changed. I have also searched for open bugs as well, but I guessed I was just not looking in the right components (not familiar with all the components). Anyway, sorry for the dups, I would try to do better next time.
