Build Identifier: All versions of thunderbird.
Thunderbird has had ideas about a site-spesific browser. What I am proposing is a browser with no URL bar, and that can only follow hyperlinks. If you middle click on a link in a email, thunderbird 3 already has support for tabs, and mozilla has firefix, so... Like prisim. But with support for hyperlinks within a web page to open in a web page.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open thunderbird
2.click. Hyperlink
3.opens web browser

We had Mozilla, a Internet suite with Email, Browser... and they got seperated into it's own applications.
The Mozilla Suite is know known as Seamonkey which still contains Email, Browser,.. in one application

Thunderbrowse, http://thunderbrowse.com/, is an extension for Thunderbird that seems to do what you want. Does this satisfy your wants?

@Magnus, I am not sure if that bug address exactly what is wanted in this bug. Bug 318104 seems to be dealing mostly with feeds (hence the title "allow feed article browsing inside thunderbird"), while this bug wants a browser for regular weblinks from within an e-mail, not just feeds.
@Reporter, can you clarify what you want for this bug, if it is the same as Bug 318104, or do you want regular website browsing from links in any e-mail as well?
