User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) Build Identifier: The Latest you sent me on Sept 26, 2008 When exiting a site and going to different Icon, It wants me to cloe firefox and then tells me to restart the computer. It is not exiting or not exiting fast enough to allow quick access to another icon. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go somewhere via ICON 2.Hit 'X' right corner top to leave. 3.Go to another Icon quickly Expected Results: get run around in set of 2 gray boxes and ultimately told to close firefox (impossible) or restart.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "ICON" But the standard response to such 'performance' problems, is to please try Firefox in its safemode or with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles
What's going on here is the user is exiting Firefox to get back to the desktop to open a new page. Firefox 3 is slower to shut down than Firefox 2 and so a new process is trying to start while the old process is still shutting down (known issue, not sure which bug). Paul - to get around this, don't close Firefox, use the windows+D keys together to get to the desktop, or click the flat line instead of the x at the top of the window. Also, you can use bookmarks instead of the desktop to save sites - http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Bookmarks If you need more help working around this problem, please ask a support question - http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Ask+a+question
