User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3 I was trying to download a C source file and firefox (on this system) did not know what application to use to view the file. I selected "Open with", then "firefox" and checked the "Do this automatically..." box and clicked OK. I was greeted with a couple dozen new tabs before I held down the ctrl-w keys. This was admittedly stupid on my part, but I thought it should be reported anyway. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to download a .c file 2. Select "Open With" and "Firefox" 3. check the "Do this automatically..." box 4) Click "OK" I did not try this with tabs disabled. Actual Results: Same. Expected Results: In hindsight, the same as actual. I should have not tried to do this (like typing $0 $0 or while 1 fork), but I was surprised that there wasn't some mechanism to protect me from my own mental lapse. I am not particularly interested in being actively involved in reporting bugs in firefox. I just wanted to do my part as a lowly user. I am classifying this as minor. Thanks for all your hard work.
