The number of mails that we receive from mailing groups and other sources are on the raise. But once the thunderbird goes offline these images does not get loaded.
For a sample I am attaching u one such mail that will give u a clear idea on the same
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.log in to the thunderbird
2.open the attached mail
3.If the thunderbird is online and connected to internet the images will get loaded
4. now close the thunderbird
5. Disconnect the internet connection
6. Open thunderbird
7. Open the same attached mail
8. The images in the mails will not get loaded
Actual Results:
In the offline mode the images will not get loaded
Expected Results:
The images should get loaded even if the Thunderbird is in offline mode
Well, if you are disconnected from the internet (point #5 of your list), there is no way to display online content unless it is cached. Thunderbird 2.0 has a small memory cache, which would be purged by #4 (closing Thunderbird). A solution of this problem has been provided by bug 450456, providing a disk cache for such remote content in the upcoming 3.0 version.
