if I pull up my browser on my N810, I hit CTRL+F on mozilla.org and search for mozilla. I then click the highlight all and nothing is highlighted.
This works on a desktop build, but not on the device itself.

Seeing whether http://people.mozilla.org/~gavin/select.html behaves the same on the device and on the desktop might help pinpoint the cause (I don't have my device handy to test at the moment).
