I originally filed bug 470544 to address this, but then I morphed it into providing a workaround for suite (as Firefox doesn't sort its grouped view). I'm not sure what sorting mode grouped views enforce, but although I'm happy that the containers should retain their ordering (c.f. bug 473157 which is about sorting grouped views after the fact) I think that the actual visits should honour the query option's sort order.

bug 486978 changed behavior for AS_DATE_QUERY, those containers will apply options.sortingMode to their children, but won't apply SORT_BY_NONE, this won't change site containers though. We can probably find something more "generic" for all grouped containers for 3.6, i tried to not change the behavior completely being a change that could potentially make 3.5.
