Because of the high resolution (I also have increased DPI to 125%) I need to use page zoom on every page; 3 times ctrl+ and then it is more comfortable to read. But it happens very often, once in about 3 times, that page zoom settings are ignored the next time. Firefox remembers the setting but not at the right moment. So I need to click on a link and after going back Firefox remembers the correct setting. Also reproduced in safe-mode. STR: - Start Firefox and on the homepage (http://www.nu.nl/ in my case) press 3 times ctrl+ - Restart Firefox - Page reverts to reset page zoom once in about 3 times - Click on a link or go to a different site - Click Back - Firefox suddenly remembers the correct zoom setting On the Windows XP partition of this computer under the same circumstances I haven't seen this problem yet.
OS: Windows XP → Windows 7
I see the same when using the Glazoom extension ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6489 ). It has an option to use the same zoom level for all pages but after a restart with system restore it only applies the page zoom for one or two pages.
I see the same thing on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-IN; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090128 Minefield/3.2a1pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Ubiquity/0.1.5.
FYI, I use the PageZoom extension ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1499 ) and it also lets you use the same zoom level for all pages, and this does not seem to have this issue.
This bug exists on my Firefox as well: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009090216 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.14
Ria: Is this still an issue ?
