HTML <q> does not participate correctly in text selections, when the selection is done character by character.
In order to reproduce this, load the attached test case, and:
1. Start selecting at the start of "Lorem". Move the cursor precisely on the first line and notice that the quotation marks are not selected.
2. At the end of first line, move the mouse downwards to select the rest of the lines one by one. Notice that the quotes are selected in this case.
3. Place the mouse cursor at the end of one line and start dragging it along the line backwards, to deselect the text. Note that the quotation marks remain selected.
4. Repaints cause the selection to be painted correctly (example: switch to another tab and back to the original tab).
I'll attach a screenshot taken after completing step 3 above.
This is reproducible both on trunk and 1.9.1.

The exact same thing happens with CSS-generated content. See this test with the same STR.
