This week (Last download on Jan 27th)it started not downloading files. I click the link for download (any file) or I right click and select "Save Link As..." but nothing happens. I tried cleaning download history, reset the download folder, moving downloads.sqlite file to another folder (Firefox created another one), none helped. I tried restarting Fİrefox, even Ubuntu afterwards, with no luck. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click Tools->Downloads: Nothing happens 2.Click on a downloadable file: Nothing happens 3.Right click and select "Save Link As...": Nothing happens Actual Results: After each step, nothing happened. Expected Results: 1.Downloads window should have been visible 2.Should have shown download interface 3.Should have shown download interface
open about:config and check if browser.download.dir, browser.download.downloadDir , browser.download.lastDir are pointing to existing directorys and that this directorys are writeable.
Thanks for quick reply Matti and yes, you have solved the problem. I don't know how it worked, but it did :) By saying "I have tried resetting download directory" I meant I changed it to default (Ubuntu profile desktop) and it did not work. After your comment, I just tried changing to some other "Down" directory below my profile, and it worked. Now I changed back to previous download folder, which is below my Windows profile (more space there) and it is working again. Thanks again for your help.

fixed would mean that something changed in the Sourcecode, worksforme would be a correct resolution but there is a reason why I asked, it should be a dupe of bug 429827
Resolution: FIXED → DUPLICATE
OK, thanks for the information. I will update according to it.
