Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3) Gecko/20090327 Fedora/3.1-0.11.beta3.fc11 Firefox/3.1b3 Build Identifier: If you normally compose messages in text format and you want to create (or forward) a message in HTML format, you currently need to edit the account settings to toggle the setting, and then toggle it again when you're done. Shift-clicking on the toolbar icon, or pressing ctrl-shift-N (or ctrl-shift-F) would be a lot faster. Another UI possibility would be adding specific toolbar buttons (disabled by default). Reproducible: Always
If you hold the Shift key down while clicking on Write or Reply, and your default composition mode is plain text, the composition window opens in HTML mode as desired, so this works already. However, the Shift key does not work for switching to the opposite composition mode when forwarding. Also, once opened in plain-text mode, it is not possible to "upgrade" the composition window to HTML mode (this could be part of bug 78794).
This is clearly a duplicate of Bug 140800.
