Regular delete does. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: To reproduce: 0 - Clear all new mail from new mail status 1 - Receive a new e-mail 2 - Note "new mail" notification icon in system tray 3 - Delete using the delete key 4 - Note "new mail" notification icon in system tray is removed 5 - Receive another new e-mail 6 - Note "new mail" notification icon in system tray 7 - Shift-delete the new message 8 - Note "new mail" notification icon in system tray is NOT removed Expected Results: New mail notification icon should be cleared from system tray upon deleting using shift-delete.
Summary: Shift-delete does not clear "new mail" from system trail → Shift-delete does not clear "new mail" from system tray

Agree, could be a duplicate. Sorry I didn't catch it, I was searching for precedent bugs with shift-delete in them. Some testing has revealed more detail about the bug, which I'll add to the other bug report.
