Is there some connection of this with bug 491143?

My own observation with the nightly Linux and Windows has been that what ever you have on the preferences (RSS settings --> by default, show the article summary instead of loading the web page), only the article summary shows up in the MailNews/RSS-Feeds I also tried to un-subscribe then re-subscribe again, same issue. It also applies to all the RSS feeds I subscribed. Change from Win/Vista to all platforms Re bug 491143, this goes beyond my understanding... :-)

Verified with a clean profile (no extension) that the MailNews/RSS feeds only display the summary, never loading the web page.

Can you try and reproduce with today build SeaMonkey v2.0b1pre ?

Tested today (only Windows), same problem: unable to display web page, only the summary. (build 20090514002933)

I don't know what the seamonkey interface does with this; in TB, the View | Message Body As menu changes when a feed item is selected, and that lets you change the display mode. See bug 438429 comment 81.
