User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; de; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042316 Firefox/3.0.10 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; de; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042316 Firefox/3.0.10 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Content-Type (MIME type) gets ignored if you want to save a file in Page Info / Media which has no file type extension.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open attached testcase
2. Open Page Info window
3. Go to "Media"
4. Try to save the image
Actual Results:
Proposed filename is "0.htm".
Expected Results:
Filename should be "0.jpg" because the server sends:
Content-Type: image/jpeg
Saving files using "save target as...", "save image as..." or "save page as..." works as espected. I think this bug happens also in other OSes, but I can't test it.

In addition to being annoying for us, this bug causes the feature to not work at all (e.g. on YouTube) for people who aren't filename extension geeks.

On Youtube people will be using custom flash downloaders.

If (1) they have Flash installed and (2) YouTube continues to default to using Flash for users with Flash installed, yes.

Still reproducible on the latest versions of Firefox Nightly 95.0a1 (2021-11-1), beta 94.0 or release 93.0 on Windows 10.
Setting up a severity of S4.
Severity: major → S4
