Would it be reasonable to consider switching code to use stl vector instead? Or at least switching code to vector when it doesn't need many changes.
The last time we discussed using STL, we rejected it because at least parts of it rely on exceptions. If you want to reopen that discussion, better do so on dev.platform, not here.
